Groundwork

Close Encounter believes in depth, not breadth. Therefore, we don't recruit 80 respondents and talk to these folks only once.  Instead, we recruit a core team of representative respondents who we engage three or four times in the course of one project.  

In addition, to leverage our own knowledge, respondents are often treated as co-researchers rather than subjects, having them participate in making meaning of the research inquiry.
